In the MasterCard commercials, steps leading up to an important event are shown with the prices, then the final event is shown as priceless.

Usually this "priceless" event is spending time with a loved one, or seeing some special event with a friend.

Why Is It Funny?

Because it sick. A certain famous celebrity was in the news for committing an atrocious act. He was in the court and then after much litigation he was let free. Even though he was found not guilty, much of the public opinion still thinks that this man was guilty and was able to "buy" his way out.
